Stovetop Cooking Instructions

  1. Combine rice, liquid and butter or oil in a pot, and bring to a boil.

  2. Cover with a tight-fitting lid. Reduce heat to maintain a low simmer, and cook for 45 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat (keep covered) and steam for 10 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.

Rice Cooker Instructions

To prepare in a rice cooker, use the same liquid to rice ratio. If rice is too firm at the end of cooking, it may be necessary to add 1-2 Tbsp. liquid and cook longer.

Organic wild blend, yum!

Great plain, but after tasting it I made the next batch with beef broth, mixed wild mushrooms, and a hint of truffle oil and smoked salt. Yum! I only wish whole grains had a longer shelf life. The rest is in a vacuum-sealed mason jar in the freezer. I bought more than I'll need.

Just ordered 25 pounds of this - for the TWO of us!

I opened a two pound bag of this rice which was purchased in a store in town. We were blown away by the taste - really beautiful combination of sweet rice with the other flavors. I went to this website but the only available size was 25 pounds. Because we strictly follow a WFPBNO diet, rice is a staple in our kitchen along with beans. This rice is actually exciting to eat. BUT I best keep the quantity a secret from my husband ( though he did comment on the excellent flavor). Just gotta figure out how I’ll manage to carry the 25 pounds into the house.

Trying something new on our food truck. Hale Yeah Kitchen

I was looking for something a bit different to plate our pan seared scallops on. I used to use an Asian slaw that we make. I found it with this organic wild rice blend. I add a little creole seasoning to it to give it just on extra bit of an edge. All of our customers love so much we now sell it as a side dish as well. Patrick Hale Chef and Owner Hale Yeah Kitchen
